one bottle o' pop, two bottle o' pop

Despite being a red-blooded American, I've adjusted to the metric system quite well. Besides being familiar with two liters of soda, I can make rough conversions in my head from mile to kilometer, and from ounce to gram, etc. On a semi-related note, I can even handle thinking about the weather in degrees Celsius and the day in military time.

But, when ordering a four-pack of tupperware on amazon.co.uk in order to turn leftovers into subsequent meals for the week, I failed to make the conversion. When I saw the containers were 5x7x3, I naturally assumed the dimensions were in inches.

But when I opened the box, I saw this:

At least now I have a waterproof case for each of the library cards I've gotten since coming here...

I was so impressed with your quick conversion skillz...until the end.

But hey, not everyone has a waterproof case for their library cards, or ID cards, or credit cards. Consider yourself lucky. I'm definitely jealous.

Which is no small potatoes, I tell you what! You need it in England, because a) it seems like it rains every other day, on average, and b) school gives you lots of cards, especailly one with lots of libraries around.

Oh my goodness, that just made my day!! I'm sure they have many uses. . .like, maybe you could catch bugs in them? :)

You brought back many horrible memories of trying to convert measurements during math class. I definitely don't have your skills! :)

It would be good to put jewelry in while traveling so it doesn't get smushed. See, at first I thought bows and then realized that you aren't 2 so I moved on to jewelry. Who knew they made such tiny little tupperwares.

Haha! That's hilarious! Don't worry, I totally would have made the same mistake...
